Mercenary Recruitment – Trigonis

Trigonis is the first of many mercenaries that our team is developing. Mercenary Recruitment posts will be devoted to the initial release of information on a concepted mercenaries that have been approved and are currently going through the development pipeline. It is our hope that keeping the community informed on our decisions will allow them to provide us with beneficial feedback on Galaxy for Hire’s development. So without further ado,

The Blade Master

Kreotun have been known to be calm, collected killers. Relying on only blades of steel and other traditional methods, Kreotuns are very ritualistic when it comes to dealing death to their adversaries. Many Kreotun have trained under the master swordsman, Sho. He has trained hundreds, if not thousands of Kreotun to become skilled swordsman. All of his students have gone off to bring great honor and respect to Kreotun. One student in particular, was to be his finest pupil.

Trigonis was a master of many a blade, from traditional swords, to halberds, and great swords. There was no blade Trigonis could not master. Trigonis, however, was too high strung, losing his temper often, and completely obliterating training dummies. In sparring matches, Trigonis’s opponents came close to death, if not permanently disabled in some form or another. After such events, Sho felt the need to expel his best student. Outraged at his master’s decision, Trigonis went on a rampage, murdering several of his peers, and crippling more than half the school. He escaped the planet with an arsenal of weapons and creds, and is now among the most feared mercenaries in the galaxy. His thirst for weapons is insatiable, and he will take any job to fuel his need for more weaponry.

Character Design

Trigonis is a melee oriented fighter which utilizes rage to empower his abilities. Although still in development, play testing him has been tremendous fun. Trigonis, like all mercenaries, has 1 passive and 4 abilities that define his playstyle. Below is a list of the current abilities we have been toying with.

Cold Meditation

Trigonis gains critical strike chance percentage as he receives more damage.

Crescent Moon

Trigonis jumps to a target location, dealing physical damage to enemies in his vicinity.

Bushido

Trigonis releases a war cry, increasing all nearby mercenaries attack speed for a short duration.

Zanshin

Trigonis deals a finishing strike to an enemy that deals damage based on how much life Trigonis has remaining.

Blade Storm

Trigonis goes berserk, unleashing a barrage of devastating attacks around him.

Our goal is to create a warrior which reacts out of pure rage, pummeling the enemies in to submission, taking a breather, and beating them some more. He knows he is one of the elite, deadly and aggressive. He has no illusions that his tactics are not brutal, and he isn’t trying to be modest about his skills either.

Anyone who plays Trigonis will immediately realize how incredible his stopping power truly is. He can jump into battle, unleash a blood curdling war cry and continue to devastate all enemies around him in a matter of seconds.

Keep an eye on the site, as we will continue to provide more information and media as time goes on. I leave you with one of Trigonis’ favorite jokes.

Why did the chicken cross the road?… It didn’t. Too busy murdering the farmer.
